Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland - MRI is seeking a part-time MRI support patient assistant. The role involves assisting patients before exams, transporting and escorting, and supporting radiology staff in a fast-paced imaging environment.

The position requires no prior experience, but requires basic computer skills and strong communication and customer service abilities. Schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM, for 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED/High School diploma required.
• No prior experience required.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Intermediate computer skills and experience with electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients in exam preparation and provides basic instructions for routine procedures.
• Transports and escorts patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Generates requisitions, checks schedules, and retrieves patient information in radiology systems.
• Prepares exam rooms, cleans and stocks supplies, and maintains equipment.
• Greets patients, answers routine questions, schedules appointments and takes messages.
• Acts as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist and technologist.
• Provides radiology reports/images to staff and files health information records.
• Communicates observations and needs of patients to the healthcare team.
• Performs routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment.
• Assists with MRI implant screening documents as needed.
