Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC (Atrium Health Cleveland - MRI site) is seeking a part-time assistant to prep patients, transport, and support radiology staff during MRI exams.

You will greet patients, operate scheduling systems, assist with implants screening, and maintain exam rooms. Must have GED or HS diploma, BLS, and strong communication. Schedule is Sat-Sun 12:00 pm-12:30 am; 24 hours per week; pay range posted.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required on hire.
• Education: GED/HSED or high school graduate.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient in preparation for exam and provides basic instruction for routine procedures.
• Transports patients between rooms and escorts patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Uses radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules and obtain patient information.
• Maintains and cleans exam rooms and equipment and stocks supplies.
• Greets patients, answers routine inquiries, schedules appointments and takes messages.
• Acts as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Provides radiology reports or images to staff and files health records and film jackets.
• Documents important observations and communicates needs to the health care team.
• Performs routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment.
• Assists with MRI implant screening and documentation as needed.
