Job Summary

Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV). Shift: Days (United States of America). Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Worker Type: Regular. Exemption Status: No. The MRI Operations Supervisor provides day‑to‑day operations supervision for assigned imaging locations, ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with Radiology Modality Managers, Operations Managers, Team Leaders, and Physician chief(s). The role directly supervises MRI Team Leaders, Technologists, and other staff and reports to the MRI Modality Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day operations for assigned location(s) including human resources, financial/budget management, and space planning.
• Ensure that all imaging studies are performed by qualified and competent staff, following ACR guidelines for MRI safety and other professional standards.
• Collaborate with leaders, physicians, and staff to maintain consistent practices across modality locations.
• Implement new initiatives, programs, and policies, and participate in quality management programs.
• Resolve problems related to workflow, customer service, and human resource issues.
• Oversee capital equipment planning and installation, and maintain business functions such as budgeting and financial management.
• Manage ACR accreditation processes for assigned areas.
• Ensure compliance with system and departmental policies, legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Radiography (ARRT‑R), MRI (ARRT‑MR), or ARMRIT required upon hire.
• ABMRS MRSO required within 2 years from date of hire.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Medical Imaging (Required), Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience (Required). Minimum of 3 years related work experience (Required).
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Certified MRI Technologist – ARMRIT. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist RT(R)(MR) – ARRT.
