Job summary

GE HealthCare in the United States seeks a skilled engineer to develop, plan, and provide technical support for the introduction of new MRI magnet assembly processes and technologies. You will design improvements to performance, reliability, or cost, and interface with suppliers to meet program goals and integrate global activities.

You will participate in the product development life cycle, prepare technical reports, establish specifications and procedures, and coordinate cross-functional

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute engineering programs.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and tooling design.

Responsibilities

  • Provide creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues from both factory and field.
  • Evaluates new developments in assembly, welding, brazing, pressure vessels, vacuum chambers, and cryogenic tooling and processes.
  • Provide technical support and evaluation of alternative material and processes to support supply chain needs.
  • Participate in product development life cycle from concept to ramp up and production support.
  • Prepare technical reports from R&D and maintenance investigations.
  • Establish engineering specifications and manufacturing procedures for prototypes and production.
  • Coordinate cross-functional design, analysis, and testing of MRI magnets.
  • Participate in safety, cost-out, cycle time reduction and quality projects.
  • Support the manufacturing plant and the Installed Base.
  • Support and comply with GE Healthcare quality and safety goals.
