Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana is seeking an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic-quality images under Radiologist direction. You will educate patients, position them for procedures, and ensure safety and privacy in care delivery.

The role requires ARRT(R) certification, Montana licensure, and a solid foundation in anatomy, pharmacology and radiation safety. The position includes full-time hours, on-site work at St James Hospital, with rotating call.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in radiologic technology or equivalent training.
• Montana licensure or eligibility required.
• ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images as directed by a Radiologist.
• Update patient records in the hospital EMR and input physician orders accurately.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and obtain cooperation.
• Administer contrast media per Radiologist/Pharmacy guidelines.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety and radiation protection.
• Maintain quality assurance and participate in reviews of care and patient satisfaction.
• Assist with supply management and posting charges.
• May float to other departments as needed.

Associate’s degree or diploma in radiologic technology
