Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana's St James Hospital is seeking an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes under Radiologist direction. The role requires accurate patient records management, adherence to ARRT standards, and safety protocols, with 36 weekly hours across 8–10 hour shifts and potential on-call.

You will support quality assurance and education for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• ARRT (R) certification and Montana licensure within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers or regulatory agencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Access and update patient records in EMR systems.
• Input physician orders to patient records.
• Explain imaging and safety procedures to patients and obtain cooperation.
• Position patients on imaging tables and operate imaging equipment as directed.
• Administer contrast media per radiologist/pharmacy guidelines.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety."
• Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing education.
