Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Illinois IDNS/IEMA licensure for diagnostic imaging.
• AHA CPR/BLS certification.
• ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB/ARMRIT certifications by modality.

Responsibilities

• Designs and coordinates orientation programs for technical staff.
• Trains staff in applying clinical protocols and techniques.
• Develops training programs for evolving radiology techniques.
• Provides and coordinates in-service education to develop staff technically and educationally.
• Assists in development of departmental policies related to technical standards and compliance.
• Coordinates equipment service and preventative maintenance; collaborates with physicists for corrective action.
