Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Technical Coordinator Sonography to lead imaging operations under the Radiology Manager and collaborate with the Medical Director. The role ensures technical staff competence, develops clinical protocols, and drives quality patient care within the imaging department.

As the technical SME, you will monitor equipment performance, coordinate maintenance, and guide staff through evolving radiology techniques while maintaining strong communication with radiologists

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety specific to the modality.
• Current ARRT Certification and registration specific to the modality.
• BLS through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Designs and coordinates orientation programs for the technical and assistant personnel.
• Trains technical staff in applying clinical protocols and techniques.
• Develops training programs to apply evolving radiology techniques.
• Provides and coordinates technical in-service education programs to develop staff technically, educationally and professionally.
• Provides technical assessment of job performance for employee performance appraisals.
• Assists in the development of departmental and institutional policies and procedures in relation to technical standards and compliance.
