Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Technical Coordinator Sonography to ensure technical competence of staff and implement clinical protocols within the Radiology department. The role supports quality patient care and department operations, including equipment performance and service coordination.

The position leads daily operations, participates in new product review, and maintains communication with radiologists to ensure service quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of Radiologic Technology is required.
• Current ARRT Certification and registration specific to the modality is required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs and coordinates orientation programs for the technical and assistant personnel.
• Trains technical staff in applying clinical protocols and techniques.
• Develops training programs to apply evolving radiology techniques.
• Provides and coordinates technical in-service education programs to develop staff technically, educationally and professionally.
• Provides technical assessment of job performance for employee performance appraisals.
