Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago seeks a Technical Coordinator MRI to lead coordination between external contractors and Northwestern radiology teams. You’ll manage reads routing, staffing, and workflow optimization under the Vice Chair, ensuring timely turnarounds and regulatory compliance.

The role requires graduate radiologic technology program graduation, appropriate licenses, and strong coordination and training abilities.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school/college of Radiologic Technology.
• Required: License by State of Illinois IDNS/IEMA for relevant imaging modalities.
• CPR/BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Certification/registration by ARRT in Radiography or related modality (or ARDMS/NMTCB depending on modality).

Responsibilities

• Establish working relationships with external companies contracting with Northwestern to provide radiology services.
• Distribute radiology reads to Northwestern radiologists based on type of exam.
• Manage relevant worklists and assign cases based on turnaround times and staffing shortages with the Vice Chair.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify coverage gaps and formulate temporary workflows.
• Devise strategic initiatives with the Vice Chair for Health Network Radiology.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school/college of Radiologic Technology

State of Illinois IDNS/IEMA license

CPR BLS certification (AHA)

ARRT certification in Radiography or related modality
