OrthoNY is seeking a Full-Time MRI Coordinator (Front Desk Receptionist - Imaging Department) to join our team. Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 1 year in a medical setting; 3 years preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be familiar with medical terminology.
• Strong data entry skills.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the first point of contact for MRI patients, delivering warm, professional service.
• Contacts other imaging centers to set up appointments for patients and supports external vendors.
• Confirms patient test appointments and arranges follow-ups.
• Processes payments, including co-pays, and posts receipts in the practice management system.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and testing as directed by the provider.
• Posts charges using CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 coding formats.
• Performs accounts receivable work and daily journal close.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

Kenntnisse

1 year medical setting experience
