Work Schedule:

• Daylight and evening hours, with a rare overnight shift possible.
• Typically able to accommodate preferences of 8, 10, and/or 12-hour shifts.
• Occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
• NO on-call hours or travel!

The MRI/CT Tech Assistant will support our MRI Technologists and other department staff with daily activities, assist with the setup and execution of various MRI examinations, and help ensure quality patient care. Join us today and advance your career at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh!

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and assist with paperwork.
• Answer phone calls regarding scheduling, questions, and patient history.
• Properly prepare patients and MRI coils for accurate imaging, ensure safe scanning procedures, and conduct MRI screening.
• Assist with lifting and transferring patients to and from exam tables as needed.
• Establish IV access (e.g., for contrast administration) and assist technologists in preparing oral contrast for patients, following established procedures.
• Perform telemetry monitoring during exams as necessary and transport patients to and from the unit when required.
• Provide discharge and general instructions to patients.
• Clean and prepare exam rooms following established procedures.
