Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to support the Sacramento/Reno region, focusing on MR and CT modalities. The role involves five 8-hour shifts, on-the-job training with experienced engineers, and gradual responsibility for preventive maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting.

You will learn to communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction, contribute to revenue opportunities, and maintain service records.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent military education, or GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program, or HS Diploma with 4+ years experience.
Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License; willingness to be on-call including weekends for critical issues.

Responsibilities

Learn to complete on-time Preventative Maintenance and FMIs/ISIs.
Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
Work with senior engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repairs.
Communicate effectively with customers to ensure issue resolution and follow-up.
Keep customer service logs and internal service records; order repair parts and manage cycle times.
