Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment. The role includes reviewing orders, educating patients, and ensuring image quality while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, administering contrast when needed, and troubleshooting imaging systems. A minimum associate-degree and ARRT MR certification are required for full qualification.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT in Radiography (R) required; MRI certification within 18 months if not already held.
• MR certification (ARRT/ARMRIT/CAMRT) preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently.
• Analyze results and maintain image quality; resolve issues as needed.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.
• Review patient history and orders; educate patient on procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast Media when ordered; monitor patient status.
• Prepare equipment; select exposure factors; follow safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform related duties.
