Job summary

Ortho Rhode Island is seeking an MRI Aide to support the MRI team by greeting patients, screening for safety, and assisting with transfers and positioning. The role includes ensuring room cleanliness and adherence to HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, basic Microsoft Office skills, and knowledge of MRI safety procedures. This is an on-site position with opportunities for growth within a dynamic clinical environment.

What you’ll do:

Our MRI Aide is responsible for providing support to the MRI technician. The Aide prepares patients for MRI examinations by greeting, screening, changing, completing and reviewing paperwork as well as assisting the MRI Tech with patient transfers, positioning and MRI room cleanliness.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols
• Performs detailed pre-procedure patient screenings for MRI Safety
• Preparing patients for MRI procedures - changed into gowns/shorts, shoes and jewelry removed.
• Understands provider’s orders and requests.
• Brings patients to MRI room and escorts patient back to changing room.
• Assures a clean, stocked work area by maintaining MRI rooms, workstations, and break areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
