Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking an Experienced MRI Technologist for per diem coverage in Poughkeepsie, NY. The role focuses on conducting high-field MRI examinations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring accurate image transmission to PACS for physician review.

Candidate must hold a Radiologic Technology degree and ARRT/MRI licensing. Per diem status allows flexible scheduling; benefits include competitive compensation and a supportive radiology team at OADC.

Qualifications

• Prior high-field MRI experience in a hospital and/or radiology center.
• Radiologic Technology degree minimum.
• RT and/or MRI license; ARRT registered.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe MRI examination.
• Ensure patient safety within MRI suite.
• Check daily MRI schedule to ensure prescriptions are ready for the next day MRI.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with patients and staff.
• All other duties assigned by the Director of Radiology.

What you’ll do

Technologist will perform all MRI examinations scheduled. Tech will ensure all safety measures are strictly adhered to in accordance to MRI safety standards. Responsible for images being properly sent to PACS for physician review. Maintain confidentiality of all written and electronic information which employee has access to as part of his/her job and observes patient rights, including email. Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with co-workers, patients, physicians and management.
