Job summary

HelloFresh Texas-based Associate Director – MRE leads maintenance and reliability across multiple buildings. You’ll drive the maintenance roadmap, mentor managers and technicians, and partner with senior MRE leadership to set standards for operational efficiency within the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing maintenance/operations and reliability in Food/Beverage/Perishables/Distribution
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• Effective leader and communicator for employees, direct reports, cross‑functional teams, and executives
• High level of integrity and ethics with excellent follow‑up and follow‑through
• Interest in engaging directly with all levels of staff
• Well‑versed in recent OSHA regulations and compliance
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics
• Exposure to refrigeration systems
• Knowledgeable in GMP/LEAN and strong continuous improvement and project management skills
• Comfortable working in cold environments with some areas of facility at 40°F
• Excitement for working in a start‑up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and/or nights and travel approximately 50% of the time

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of automation and manufacturing equipment, electrical, refrigeration, PIT equipment, building and grounds across multiple facilities
• Motivate, engage, coach, and inspire a team of managers and technicians
• Provide project management and support for key strategic and building level projects
• Manage outside vendors and facilitate planned and unplanned repairs
• Ensure maintenance regulations are followed
• Identify problems and brainstorm improvement strategies for fulfillment centers
• Drive cross‑departmental engagement and collaboration on new projects and retrofits
