Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking an Associate Director, Reliability (MRE) to lead a team of reliability engineers, planners, CMMS, and quality/industrial SMEs across US sites. You will own life-cycle maintenance projects, drive reliability improvements, and set the operations roadmap for efficiency in fulfillment centers.

Qualifications

• 10+ yearsExperience managing facilities maintenance/operations and reliability in Food/Beverage/Perishables/Distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Spend most time on shop floor working directly with staff at all levels.
• High integrity and ethics with strong follow-through.
• Excitement for startup environment with ambiguity and change.
• Effective communication across employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations; OSHA certification a plus.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, automation, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
• Willingness to work in cold environments; weekends/nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MRE-related projects across electrical, refrigeration, building, and grounds.
• Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), RCA, and FMEA to reduce downtime.
• Motivate, coach, and inspire a team of specialists on the shop floor.
• Manage outside vendors and life cycle repairs/replacements.
• Ensure maintenance regulations are followed.
• Maintain a current list of contractors for emergency repairs.
• Identify problems and brainstorm improvement ideas for fulfillment centers.
