Job summary

Veracyte, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to drive design and development of MRD LDTs. The role leads assay bioinformatics from concept through validation and launch, partnering with wet-lab, clinical, QA/RA, and software teams.

The candidate will apply cancer genomics and ctDNA expertise to inform assay architecture, variant detection, and error suppression, while ensuring regulatory standards and data integrity across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with a strong background in cancer genomics and bioinformatics.
• 6+ years in biotech, diagnostics, or regulated healthcare environments.
• Hands-on experience with ctDNA MRD assays and NGS-based clinical diagnostics.
• Proficient in Python and production-grade analysis pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to bioinformatics strategy for MRD assay design and development.
• Develop and validate scalable bioinformatics pipelines for MRD analysis.
• Lead study design, data analysis, and performance characterization during development.
• Ensure CAP/CLIA FDA/IVDR compliance throughout development.
