Job summary

Veracyte, a global diagnostics company, seeks a Research Associate I to support the development of next-generation MRD assays from concept through clinical lab implementation. This hands-on role involves molecular biology and NGS workflows, enabling exposure to diagnostic product development in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is an early-career scientist with strong documentation practices and collaboration skills, excited to contribute to patient care through oncology diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science and 0–2 years lab experience.
• Experience with nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, and sample preparation.
• Familiarity with NGS workflows and ability to document procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support development and transfer activities for NGS-based MRD assays.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and routine testing per SOPs.
• Prepare and characterize clinical samples for studies.
• Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR and library prep.
• Document procedures and results meticulously.
• Maintain lab organization and supplies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
• Assist with data collection and basic analysis.
