General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in Poway, CA seeks a Project Engineer to support MQ-9A Sustainment Programs.

The role involves leading design work, documenting findings, and serving as the technical contact on projects, with potential project leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities include network engineering for SATCOM datalink systems, implementing robust architectures, and guiding cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Typically requires a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in engineering with several years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering License is desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
• Excellent communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary network engineer for SATCOM datalink system and sustainment activities.
• Implement and maintain network architecture supporting SATCOM ground, space, and communications systems.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize connectivity for high availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SATCOM datalink solutions.
• Ensure network security and compliance with standards, including encryption and access controls.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in after-hours support as needed.
