Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced MQ-9 UAS Pilot II to serve as pilot in command (PIC) of MQ-9A aircraft across CONUS/OCONUS locations. The role includes a rotation schedule with three months on-site operations followed by three months at home.

The position requires a Secret (with Top Secret eligibility) clearance, a relevant engineering or scientific degree, and MQ-9A flight experience. You will plan, brief, fly, debrief, and mentor crews while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; Top-Secret eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in the listed disciplines with 5+ years in US military requirements.
• Within the last 10 years, MQ-9A pilot duties to US Naval/USAF UAS flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of flight to include planning/briefing, execution, debrief and crew resource management.
• Adhere to specific military, civilian and ICAO flight rules including FAA regulations.
• Provide expertise in the operation of unmanned aircraft.
• Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
• Provide technical knowledge and experience with UAS operations to facilitate their integration safely into the NAS with government and OEM collaboration.
• Support UAS integration into the NAS without reducing capacity or increasing risk beyond similar new technologies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
