Job summary

AEVEX Corp. is seeking a qualified UAS Pilot in Command (PIC) for DoD missions in the United States. The role demands mission planning, coordination, and strong situational awareness for national and theater-level tasks.

Candidates must be US citizens with an active DoD Secret clearance, FAA PPL (Instrument) and Class II Medical, plus 100+ UAS PIC hours. Willingness to relocate to CONUS and work extended hours is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Private Pilot’s License (PPL) with Instrument rating.
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• At least 100+ flight hours on UAS platforms acting as PIC.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Pilot in Command (PIC) of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS).
• Provide Mission Coordinator/Commander support when not acting as PIC.
• Primarily supports higher tier, longer endurance systems, driven by national or theater level customers.
• Performs mission planning and coordination under varying airspace conditions.
• Maintains broad situational awareness of current mission operations and targets.
• Understands government defense policies related to operating aircraft and customer requirements.
• Meets/exceeds minimum performance standards per master training syllabuses.
• Formulates training programs, lesson plans and schedules based on identified needs.
• Organizes and develops training manuals, testing and evaluation guidelines, and other educational materials.
• Trains assigned personnel in tactics, procedures, policies, and technologies.
• Relocation to CONUS duty location.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
