Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Control Director in the United States to supervise MQ-9 maintenance and ensure compliance with DoD programs. You will coordinate inspections, manage maintenance records, and brief flight crews while aligning with government representatives and the flight schedule.

Successful candidates will have deep MQ-9 knowledge, extensive maintenance control experience, and a Secret or higher clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret eligible; US citizenship required.
• Working knowledge of MQ-9 aircraft.
• Associate degree in engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, or professional aeronautics or High School diploma with 8 years military requirements.
• 15 years of aircraft maintenance with 10 years in a supervisory position.
• Minimum 6 years in maintenance control.
• Experience supervising daily flight operations personnel.
• Knowledge of governing DoD maintenance systems and CNAFINST 4790.2 series.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with Navy/Air Force/Marine Corps logistics procedures.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance plans, procedures, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain documents of MQ-9 scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Keep Site Manager and Maintenance Officer briefed on aircraft/GCS status.
• Plan and coordinate all inspections (special, conditional, phase).
• Dispatch and monitor tasks to work centers.
• Ensure aircraft/GCS availability to meet Flight Schedule.
• Work with IMDS and NALCOMIS systems.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports.
• Maintain aircraft/GCS discrepancy books and log entries.
• Ensure all required maintenance is performed before flights.
• Brief and de-brief pilots; document flight time and maintenance discrepancies.
• Comply with DoD and CNAF directives relevant to maintenance.
• Maintain historical records and various files; verify Naval reports and submit to Navy systems.
• Oversee mission configuration with civil service work centers; annotate shop logs for government sharing.
• Reassign contract personnel between work centers to support flight schedule.
• Instruct and train lower-level employees in proper methods and performance.
