Job summary

Platform Aerospace seeks an experienced UAV Pilot II-III to support both stateside and international flight operations. You will act as Pilot-in-Command or Flight Engineer within a two-person team, ensuring safe aircraft operation and mission success.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, 500+ PIC hours, FAA Class II Medical, and willingness to travel globally up to 100%. Full-time or contractor arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 500 hours of PIC flight time.
• Must have DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate required.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% CONUS/OCONUS.
• Expert knowledge with Piccolo or Quattro controllers.

Responsibilities

• Plan flight operations to meet customer requirements.
• Perform pre-, in-, and post-flight safety checks.
• Remote pilot UAV per flight plan or adapt plan to mission.
• Assist flight operation planning for customer requirements.
• Support overseas deployments up to 6 months as needed.
• Conduct customer flight demonstrations at remote sites.
• Assist in refining training curriculum and docs.
• Troubleshoot equipment to maximize mission readiness.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: 100% OCONUS
CLEARANCE TYPE: SECRET

This position may be filled as a full-time employee or 1099 Contractor depending on business needs and candidate fit.

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, supports the ground and flight operations of an Unmanned Aircraft System during stateside and overseas operations. Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and the success of mission objectives, the pilot will be a cross-functional member of a two-man team, functioning as either the Pilot-in-Command or Flight Engineer.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
• Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks.
• Remote pilot a UAS, following a specific flight plan or modifying flight plans to meet mission objectives.
• Assist flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
• Support flight operations outside the continental United States for up to six (6) months at a time, or as mutually agreed upon.
• Conduct flight demonstrations for customers at remote locations.
• Assist team with furthering and refining training curriculum, documentation, and standardization materials.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to maximize mission readiness rates.
• Ensure compliance with all FAA, host nation, and customer regulations as applicable.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Basic Requirements - Level II

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience as a Pilot in Command.
• Must currently possess and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret level security clearance.
• Able to obtain FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Up to 100% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
• Position is contingent on the ability to pass required flight and deployment physicals.
• Expert knowledge and extensive experience with Piccolo or Quattro flight controllers.

Preferred Requirements

• Completion of training or a degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field.
• Military flight experience is highly desirable.
• Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Private Pilot License.
• Experience in deployed UAS ISR operations.
