Job summary

You will communicate with agents and policyholders by phone and mail, enter information, review scanned documents, generate reports, and assist with training and other duties as needed. The role requires discretion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MPCI program and underwriting rules and procedures.
• Ability to learn what information is needed to process policies and apply regulations.
• Basic keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with agents and customers.
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Examines insurance documents and applies underwriting rules.
• Enters information into the computer and updates records.
• Communicates with agents, offices, field personnel, and policyholders to gather information.
• Reviews scanned documents and routes to correct work queues.
• Prepares and analyzes reports and policy forms.
• Assists with training of Underwriting Assistants and part-time staff.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
