Responsibilities

• Examines insurance documents such as applications and reports and applies underwriting rules.
• Enters policy and production data into the computer and updates records.
• Communicates by phone and letter with agents, offices, field personnel, and policyholders to obtain information and answer questions.
• Reviews scanned documents and routes them to the correct work queues.
• Prepares, prints, and analyzes reports and policy forms.
• Assists with training of Underwriting Assistant and part-time personnel as necessary.
• Assists with other duties as necessary.
