Job summary

Modine is seeking a Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Manager to oversee material planning, inventory management, and logistics coordination, driving operational efficiency and on-time customer delivery. You will lead planning teams, align supply chain with business goals, and optimize inventory flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in material planning, logistics, inventory management, supply chain, or operations management.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics operations, and material planning processes.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel/data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Manage material planning, inventory control, logistics coordination, and material flow operations to support production and customer demand.
Lead and develop MP&L personnel, including analysts, planners, and logistics staff, through coaching, training, and performance management.
Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules, inventory targets, and operational requirements.
Monitor and improve KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material availability, freight costs, and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, production, logistics, and demand planning teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment.
Oversee inventory optimization initiatives to reduce excess inventory, minimize shortages, and improve inventory turns.
Identify and resolve operational issues related to shortages, disruptions, or planning constraints.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, process efficiency, and supply chain performance.
Maintain data and reporting within ERP and planning systems to support decision-making.
Support S&OP and integrated business planning processes.
Ensure compliance with inventory control standards and policies.
