Job summary

Modine is seeking an MP&L Manager to lead material planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination to support production and delivery performance. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to drive operational performance in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing planning teams, ensuring material availability, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in material planning, logistics, inventory management, or operations management.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics operations, and material planning processes.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar) and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee material planning, inventory control, logistics coordination and material flow operations to support production and customer demand.
• Lead MP&L personnel through coaching, training and performance management.
• Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and inventory targets.
• Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material availability, freight costs and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, production, logistics and demand planning teams for end-to-end alignment.
• Oversee inventory optimization to reduce excess, minimize shortages and improve turns.
• Maintain data and reporting within ERP and planning systems to support decisions.
• Support S&OP and integrated business planning processes.
