Micro Center in Ohio is seeking an MP&A Manager – Category Analysis & Demand Forecasting to lead analytics and forecasting across product categories. You will partner with merchandising and allocation to optimize revenue, margin, and inventory, while communicating insights to leadership.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with large data sets, and proficiency in Excel, MicroStrategy and SQL, with excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or related field.
• 5+ years of retail experience required, preferably in retail planning or allocation.
• Strong understanding of retail principles and retail math calculations.
• Strong computer skills, including advanced to expert Excel skills, strong quantitative analysis skills and history of working with large data sets.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications skills in addition to strong presentation skills.
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment individually and as a member of a team.
• Ability to communicate across cross-functional groups and multiple departments within the organization.
• Experience working with MicroStrategy and SQL preferred.

About the Role

Working with our Merchandising and Allocation teams, the MP&A Manager- Category Analysis & Demand Forecasting is directly accountable for all analysis functions. The position requires extensive analytical effort as well as the ability to interface well with all departments to support company initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with sales, margin and inventory analysis, and have the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.

What You’ll Do

• Establish and maintain working relationships with merchandising partners
• Executing SKU level sales forecasts to ensure alignment with budget and trend (revenue, units and margin)
• Evaluate sales, inventory, margin, and markdowns by category, store, channel, and time period.
• Analyze historical performance, current trends, seasonality, promotions, and product lifecycle to forecast demand.
• Partner with merchants/buyers on assortment plans, vendor opportunities, pricing, and promotional activity.
• Monitor inventory health, including in-stock rates, sell-through, weeks of supply, aged inventory, overstocks, and stockouts.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, gross margin dollars, inventory turns, and markdown performance.
• Prepare recurring business reviews, forecasts, KPI dashboards, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Maintain planning tools, data integrity, product hierarchies, and reporting processes.

What We’re Looking For
