Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations at our Houston center. You will lead a team, ensure top-notch customer service, and support the General Manager in decision-making and resource allocation.

Responsibilities include staff assignment, operating in the GM's absence, and completing tasks such as hitch installation. Training through U-Haul University is required for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager's absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
