Job summary

AMLI West Plano in Plano, TX is seeking a Make Ready Technician focused on drywall repair and apartment turns. You will patch, texture, prep walls, and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure move-in-ready homes.

Ideal candidates have strong drywall finishing skills, experience in make-ready or repair work, and willingness to participate in rotating on-call shifts. You will contribute to AMLI's high-quality standards and guest-ready apartments.

Qualifications

• Drywall repair experience is essential for apartment turns.
• Experience with patching, texture matching, and surface prep for paint.
• Apartment make-ready, maintenance or remodeling experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform drywall repairs, patching, texture matching and wall prep for turns.
• Inspect vacated units and complete repairs before new move-ins.
• Paint, touch-up, caulking and interior finish work.
• Repair or replace doors, locks, screens, baseboards, and fixtures.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repairs as needed.
• Identify issues and communicate needs to the maintenance team.
• Make keys and handle lock changes for new residents.
• Assist with property upkeep, cleaning and grounds tasks.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
