Job summary

AMLI West Plano in Plano, TX is seeking an Apartment Make Ready Technician with strong drywall and repair skills to prepare homes for new residents. You will patch, texture, paint touch-ups, and install or replace doors, fixtures, and hardware as part of turn services.

Ideal candidates have hands-on drywall repair experience, basic plumbing/electrical skills, and the ability to work on-call evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong drywall repair and finishing skills with texture matching.
• Experience in apartment make-ready, maintenance, or similar repairs.
• Ability to patch holes, repair damaged drywall and prep surfaces for paint.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing/electrical repairs; dependable for on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform drywall repairs, patching, texture matching and wall prep for turns.
• Inspect vacated apartments and complete make-ready repairs before move-ins.
• Complete painting, touch-ups, caulking and interior finish work.
• Repair or replace doors, locks, screens, hinges, baseboards, shelving and fixtures.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
• Identify additional maintenance issues and communicate needs to the team.
• Make keys and complete lock changes for new residents.
• Assist with property upkeep, cleaning and grounds tasks.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
