Job summary

Canteen in Austin, TX is hiring a full-time Moving Coordinator to manage on-site moves for office assets across multiple locations. You will log new move requests, coordinate scheduling, and supervise minor moves of boxes, furniture, and file cabinets with assistance.

You’ll work with requestors, vendors, and the move team, drive a truck when needed, and keep the warehouse organized while ensuring safe handling of all items.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds.
• Ability to read and understand floor plans or construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates move activities for company office assets across locations.
• Logs new move requests in the move tracking spreadsheet.
• Coordinates and conducts minor moves of boxes, furniture, and file cabinets with assistance as needed.
• Coordinates move timing with requestor.
• Conducts condition assessment of furniture and movable equipment; determines items for relocation or disposal.
• Maintains organization of the warehouse and shelved spaces; manages incoming/outgoing materials.
• Creates work orders to support moves; consolidates tasks into a single work request.
• Installs/removes items to support moves; uses hand and power tools; disassembles furniture.
• Coordinates receiving of items; works with vendors, loading dock, move team.
• Drives a truck to meet scheduled and on demand move needs.
• Loads/unloads trucks; moves furniture, equipment, supplies.
• Maintains safety of work area and equipment.
• Follows safety regulations; notifies supervisor of issues.
• Supports move team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
