Job summary

PepsiCo in Amarillo, TX seeks an Area Sales Manager to lead a sales team across four locations in the Mountain West market, driving targets and profitability. The role reports to the Sr Sales Market Director and partners with Commercial, Go To Market, Delivery and Warehouse functions.

You will coach frontline staff, translate national priorities into territory plans, and establish strong customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of selling experience including key account management and day-to-day sales operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading salaried and frontline employees.
• Strong influence and communication skills with leadership ability to drive results.
• Willing and able to travel within defined area up to 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support all sales and merchandising activities within a geographic area to hit performance goals.
• Lead and coach team on selling, display execution and merchandising standards.
• Establish weekly 1:1s and conduct team meetings for communication and alignment.
• Set clear objectives and use data to guide sales/service teams.
• Implement training, coaching and development programs for frontline staff.
• Support a healthy labor environment and safety culture.
• Translate priorities into territory activity plans to meet volume objectives.
• Build strategic partnerships with customers and drive satisfaction.
• Execute store calls and customer visits weekly.
• Collaborate with GTM, Warehouse, and Delivery to resolve sales/service challenges.
• Activate local and national promotions to boost brand performance.
• Prepare for area and market planning processes and drive accountability.
