Job summary

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) at PepsiCo will lead the sales team across the Mountain West market, directing merchandising and account management to hit targets and improve profitability. The role is based in Amarillo, TX or Lubbock, TX and requires close collaboration with Commercial, Go To Market, Delivery, and Warehouse functions.

This position demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to travel up to 50–75% to engage customers and teams in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of selling experience including key account management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading salaried and frontline employees.
• Strong influence and communication skills.
• Willing and able to travel up to 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support all sales and merchandising activities within a geographic area to deliver against goals.
• Lead and coach your team on selling and display execution and merchandising standards.
• Drive weekly 1:1s and team meetings to ensure alignment.
• Set clear performance expectations and develop front-line staff through coaching.
• Collaborate with GTM, Warehouse and Delivery to resolve sales and service challenges.
• Activate local and national promotions to maximize brand performance.
