Job summary

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa in Young Harris, GA is seeking a Part-Time Stables Trail Guide to join our Equestrian team. You will lead guided horseback trail rides, care for horses, prep areas, and maintain a safe, welcoming equestrian environment.

This active, outdoors role requires dependability and a strong safety mindset. The position offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability, and the chance to work in a beautiful North Georgia mountain setting with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience caring for and feeding horses.
• Ability to tack horses using Western-style tack.
• Demonstrated horsemanship skills and confidence working around horses.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to read and follow basic written and verbal instructions.
• Sound judgment and the ability to handle routine problems safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided horseback trail rides and provide a safe, enjoyable guest experience.
• Care for, feed, tack, and safely handle horses.
• Prepare horses, pastures, pony ring, holding areas, and trails for daily rides.
• Ensure all horses are accounted for and safely returned to pasture following the final ride.
• Keep barns, holding areas, equipment, and surrounding grounds clean and organized.
• Maintain trails and fencing, including mowing, weed-eating, and general grounds upkeep.
• Ensure gates, water tanks, and other stable areas are properly prepared and maintained.
• Assist other Resort departments and team members as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and promptly report work-related accidents or concerns.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and cooperative working relationship with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Follow all Resort, departmental, and Coral Hospitality policies and service standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
