Job summary

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa in the North Georgia mountains seeks a Part-Time Stables Trail Guide to join the Equestrian team. This hands-on role blends guided trail rides, horse care, stable operations, guest service, and outdoor maintenance.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable around horses, and takes pride in a clean, welcoming equestrian environment. Flexibility and outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for and feeding horses.
• Ability to tack horses using Western-style tack.
• Demonstrated horsemanship skills and confidence around horses.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team.
• Ability to read and follow basic written and verbal instructions.
• Sound judgment to handle routine problems safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided horseback trail rides and provide a safe, enjoyable guest experience.
• Care for, feed, tack, and safely handle horses.
• Prepare horses, pastures, pony ring, holding areas, and trails for daily rides.
• Ensure all horses are accounted for and safely returned to pasture after rides.
• Keep barns, holding areas, equipment, and grounds clean and organized.
• Maintain trails and fencing, including mowing and weed-eating.
