Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska seeks a Mountain Sports School Manager to lead our winter and summer Mountain Sports School operations. You will oversee instructors, guides, administrative staff, and support teams while ensuring exceptional instruction, guest service, safety, and operational performance.

Your responsibilities include coaching, budgeting, scheduling, and developing programs; you will oversee registration through Flaik, RTP, and Aspenware, while building relationships with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience managing Mountain Sports School or similar instructional environment.
• Strong skiing/snowboarding technique knowledge.
• Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent guest service and communication abilities.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management.
• PSIA-AASI Level 3 preferred; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructors, guides, administrative staff, and support personnel.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate team members.
• Develop and manage group lessons, private instruction, clinics.
• Oversee lesson registration and booking through Flaik, RTP, Aspenware.
• Manage budgeting, staffing, scheduling, expenses, and resources.
• Build relationships with local schools and community groups.
• Represent Alyeska Mountain Sports School in the community.
