Aon plc in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Underwriter in our Motorsports Division to evaluate applications, assess risk, and determine appropriate premiums. This office-based role involves handling complex submissions, maintaining underwriting authority, and supporting sales initiatives.

The position requires a bachelor's degree, 3-5 years underwriting or motorsports experience, active licensing within 6 months, and travel for field visits.

Qualifications

• P&C/ A&H Licenses or ability to secure licenses within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree or commensurate education and/or work experience
• 3-5 years underwriting experience or experience within the motorsports industry.
• Direct sales/marketing
• Advanced verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance applications and related documents to classify risk and determine premiums.
• Obtain all relevant information to ensure thorough risk evaluation.
• Review new/renewal business and recommend actions to attain premium and loss ratio.
• Prepare quotations/proposals for presentation to clients.
• Sell and market coverage lines to direct clients and brokers.
• Travel to fulfill field underwriting responsibilities including client visits and loss control.
• Conduct and complete loss control surveys within required timelines.
