Arrowhead Intermediaries in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Senior Underwriter to join our growing team. The role involves evaluating, rating, and approving insurance applications while maintaining accuracy and supporting profitability goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in insurance or risk management or 2+ years of underwriting experience, and a valid Indiana property & casualty license. Expect collaboration with a cross-functional team and opportunities to influence underwriting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance & risk management OR 2+ years of underwriting experience.
• Solid understanding of underwriting commercial exposures and insurance coverages.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite standard level of new and renewal accounts per guidelines.
• Contribute to premium and profitability objectives.
• Evaluate exposures for general liability, excess/umbrella, property, and auto.
• Develop and communicate underwriting decisions.
• Monitor results to identify trends on assigned accounts.
• Coordinate servicing with Client Services, Risk Services and Claims Services.
• Other duties as assigned by underwriting leader.
