Job summary

Delta Air Lines is hiring a Ground Maintenance Technician (GMT) in a motorized role to service a diverse fleet of ground support equipment at the JFK and surrounding airports. The GMT (Motorized) specializes as a vehicle/heavy equipment mechanic, requiring a 2-year technical degree or at least three years of demonstrated ability.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and overhauling equipment, performing electrical/hydraulic troubleshooting, and recording work in the maintenance data

Qualifications

• Safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Be able to work a fixed or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 18+ years old with authorization to work in the United States.
• Lifting 50–70 pounds.
• Understand and follow technical documents and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul components on motorized equipment.
• Perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, painting, bodywork and related tasks.
• Record work assignments in data systems and coordinate with other personnel.
• Repair and maintain motorized equipment and related systems.
