Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking a Ground Maintenance Technician (GMT) in a stationary role to repair and maintain motors, PLCs and pneumatic systems, and to perform preventive maintenance on large industrial equipment. You will interpret diagrams and manuals to resolve malfunctions and ensure equipment reliability.

The role requires reading engineering specs, lifting up to 70 pounds, and working a rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree or three years of demonstrated ability preferred.
• Proficient in reading and applying engineering diagrams, manuals and specifications.
• Must be able to lift 50–70 pounds and work a fixed/rotating schedule including weekends.
• Must have valid driver's license and be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on motors, PLCs, pneumatics, conveyors, and shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and ensure proper functioning of stationary GSE.
• Maintain inventories and prepare maintenance reports analyzing trends.
