Job summary

The Canyon County Customer Service Specialist – Motor Vehicle is the first point of contact for the public, handling vehicle registrations, titles, and related transactions. You will assist with applications, answer questions, and resolve customer issues while learning department policies through on‑the‑job training.

Occasional outdoor VIN inspections are required, with guidance from a supervisor. Strong customer service and clerical skills are essential, and you must be able to manage records,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; business courses preferred.
• 7 months to 1 year cashiering, general office or customer service experience; DMV experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Process motor vehicle registrations and title transfers; greet customers and provide information.
• Perform VIN inspections and record payments for registrations and taxes.
• Maintain and verify documents; balance funds daily.
• Update and file registration, title, valuation and ownership records; assist research for customers.
