Job summary

Valley County is hiring a Driver's License & Motor Vehicle Specialist to provide customer service and perform technical DMV tasks. You will handle vehicle transactions such as titles, registrations, and license renewals, and issue driver’s licenses and REAL ID IDs. This role reports to the DMV Supervisor within the County Assessor’s Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus clerical/financial transaction experience.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to explain Idaho statutes clearly.
• Ability to pass ITD background check, fingerprinting, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Issue driver’s licenses, seasonal permits, and REAL ID identification.
• Process ownership titles, registrations, and license plate renewals.
• Serve as cashier to collect taxes and fees and balance daily records.
• Prepare reports and maintain secure inventory of state supplies.
