Job summary

Rivian in Southern California offers a Spring Co-op internship for undergraduates or graduates. You must be enrolled and available for Jan–Aug 2027, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and 2029. The program requires active student enrollment and onsite full-time work for the entire duration.

Interns will contribute to the Electric Motor Team on future motor development, including designing, testing, validating, data collection, reporting, and proposing improvements or fixes.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on lab experience.
• Some experience in 3D CAD and drawing generation.
• Previous internship in automotive and/or electric, preferred.
• Prefer FSAE (formula SAE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Mentor and other Engineers on variety tasks.
• Support lab to build, fix, test component, subsystem or system.
• Perform test, collect data, generate report, explain finding and propose improvement or fixed solution.
