Job summary

National Trails in Livonia, MI is seeking an overnight Dispatch Supervisor to direct and monitor daily assignments for charter and motor coach operations, ensuring complete coverage and safe, on-time service.

You will oversee drivers, communicate details, handle route questions, coordinate maintenance, and supervise the overnight bus wash crew while maintaining records and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Previous dispatch experience required.
• Previous supervisory or staff management experience required.
• Experience managing an overnight operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor daily assignments to ensure complete coverage of all charter and motor coach work.
• Communicate assignment details to drivers.
• Assist drivers with route directions and operational questions.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and service interruptions.
• Assign replacement vehicles and drivers when necessary.
• Coordinate vehicle service and repairs with Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with dispatch SOPs and company policies.
• Escalate operational concerns and recommend solutions.
• Supervise and manage the bus wash crew during the overnight shift, including staffing, work assignments, quality control, attendance monitoring, and ensuring all vehicles are cleaned and prepared for next-day service.
• Conduct inspections of completed bus wash work to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to management.

Schedule

Monday through Friday
8:00 PM to 4:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor daily assignments to ensure complete coverage of all charter and motor coach work.
