Apple Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to own the motion sensing system architecture across Apple products in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You will drive feature roadmaps, define requirements, and decompose them into sensor module specs while validating the full signal chain model end-to-end. Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and design teams ensures optimal sensor placement within system constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Practical understanding of motion sensors (magnetic, inertial, pressure) and physics.
• Experience in architecture and system-level design of sensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive the motion sensing feature roadmap from emerging tech to product opportunities.
• Translate features into system-level requirements with traceability.
• Build and validate end-to-end models of the sensing chain (physical/electrical/algorithm).
• Own sensor integration, optimize placement under mechanical, thermal, EMI constraints.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align sensor placement and trade-offs.
