Job summary

Applied Motion Products is seeking an Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for customers and prospects. You will collaborate with the Sales team for both pre- and post-sale support and contribute to firmware/software customization as needed.

The role involves traveling to select metropolitan areas, providing technical guidance on motors, drives, and related products, and supporting engineering with product improvements. A strong background in motion control is required.

Qualifications

1+ year of related motion control experience.
Ability to install, troubleshoot and program motion control products.
Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanical systems and industrial networking.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for AMP products via on-site visits, phone, and email.
Offer product recommendations based on application needs and sizing calculations.
Deliver training to in-house sales staff, distributors, and reps on AMP products.
Provide input to Engineering for product improvements and new designs.
