Job summary

Arrive Alive Traffic Control, an AWP Safety company, is seeking a MOT Technician in Fort Myers, FL to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow through construction zones. You will set up lane closures, direct traffic, and perform safety checks while adhering to FDOT standards and client specs.

The position offers hands-on training, ATSSA certification, defensive driving instruction, and opportunities for advancement in a safety‑focused environment. Strong teamwork and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and positive attitude.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Flexible Schedule (nights, weekends, 10+ hour days)
• Ability to lift, carry, or move 50 lbs.
• Regular physical tasks, including standing, walking on construction sites, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Implement traffic control measures to protect the public and team members.
• Set up and dismantle lane closures and other necessary traffic control equipment.
• Safely load, unload, and transport signs, cones, and barricades as required.
• Direct traffic around and through construction sites using flagging and signaling techniques.
• Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment and tools.
• Keep the worksite clean and organized by properly disposing of debris and materials.
• Accurately complete all job-related paperwork and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers to maintain a secure and efficient work zone.
• Monitor job site conditions and adjust traffic control strategies as needed.
